Netbackup Client 6.5 error for vsphere4.0

When i am trying to install veritas netbackup 6.5 in  vsphere4.0 it is throwing a error

File /tmp/install_trace.6333 contains a trace of this install.
That file can be deleted after you are sure the install was successful.    "

 

Please share if anybody have the solution.

    Your Subject says that you are trying to install NBU Client software, right?

    But the installation output says that you are using NBU Server software to install.

    Do you have original install media or are you using download software from FileConnect?

    If dvd media set, look for Linux Clients on the label. If FileConnect, download NetBackup_6.5_CLIENTS2.tar.gz.

    Just for my education - why do you need NBU software on Vsphere?

    Do not install Netbackup software in your ESX host OS.

    VMware and Symantec recommend highly NOT to do this.

    It's OK to install the correct client binary software for the Linux VM Guest inside its operating system.
