NetBackup client side dedup” on windows server 2012 Client

I read somewhere NetBackup does not support ”client side dedup” on windows server 2012  a. and tha t this is only possible on Netbackup7.6 .

 

I have Netbackup[ 7.5.06 installed .. Guess an upgrade is at hand ?

    The current scl http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH76648  does not show 2012 supported yet for client side de-dupe

    It does support accelerator but no sign of client side de-dupe - sure it will be on the road map though

    I dont see any real changes between 7.5.0.6 / 7 and 7.6 in terms of 2012 support

    I dont see its supported on 7.6 (as per OS compat guide). If you have details stating otherwise please post.

    W2012 is not (yet) listed under Deduplication Supported Operating Systems under Media Server Dedupe or Client Deduplication.
