Is it possible to configure an external Disk storage or a SAN mounted volume as a Deduplication storage just like we can configure a dedup storage folder in Backup Exec ?
Yes it is possible for SAN Mounted volume.
You first need to configure it as a mount point on your media server, then configure this media server as storage server.
Then configure disk poolusing this mount point & after that you can extract storage units from this diskpool.

Yes. You can add locally attached disk.
