NetBackup Error (96) plus Successful (0)
It is not clear what Netbackup is trying to tell me when I get an error 96 followed by success 0. Can anyone explain?
Thanks,
-Mike
The 'Job Overview' tab for the backup jobs shows:
1: (96) unable to allocate new media for backup, storage unit has none available 2: (0) the requested operation was successfully completed
The 'Detailed Status' tab shows:

You will see a drop-down in Details tab where you can see Attempt 1 and 2.
The Details above is only showing Attempt 2.
Have a look at Details for Attempt 1.
My guess is that a Cleanup job may have ran inbetween Attempt 1 and 2, meaning that expired media has become available for Attempt 2.
Best to prevent this situation by running 'available_media' script on a daily basis to ensure there is enough media for upcoming backup window.
