NetBackup filling syslog

I am getting the following errors about every second in my syslog.

 

 

May 13 13:50:35 felix VERITAS: No proxy found.
May 13 13:50:35 felix VERITAS: PBX_Client_Proxy::handle_close
May 13 13:50:35 felix VERITAS: PBX_Manager:: handle_input with fd = 5
May 13 13:50:35 felix VERITAS: PBX_Client_Proxy::parse_line, line = ack=1
May 13 13:50:35 felix VERITAS: PBX_Client_Proxy::parse_line, line = extension=EMM
May 13 13:50:35 felix VERITAS: hand_off looking for proxy for = EMM
 
 
Any ideas?

  • Your PBX daemon is probably not running.

    Do either below to check

    ps -ef  | grep pbx

    or

    /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpps -x

    If you don't see this item, it confirms that PBX daemon is down on this NetBackup server and caused the messages in your syslog.

    root      1234     1  0 May01 ?        00:00:00 /opt/VRTSpbx/bin/pbx_exchange

     

    Restarts your PBX daemon to fix the issue.  Reference to these two TechNotes:
