NetBackup license(NBU OPT Library Based Tape Drive)

Sorry for my ignorance on NBU. if I have 1 Tape drive with 20 slots in it how many license I need for OPT Library Based Tape Drive.

 

thanks in advance for any help you can provide.......

    You need 1x 'library-based tape drive' license for each tape drive in a library. Whether same or different library.
    1 drive in library = 1 license
    2 drives in library = 2 licenses
    2 libraries with 1 drive each = 2 licenses.

    One Library Drive license to use one library based tape drive with one NetBackup Media Server.

    .

    Plus one SSO License if you want to use the tape drive with two or more NetBackup Media Servers.

      so it does not depend upon on the tape drive with number of slots?

      if i add one more tape drive in the library with 15 slots I dont need to buy more License Because it goes by the Physical Tape Library not by the tape drives and slots in it?

      is this the right assessment ?
