Netbackup need sql server?

Hi,

Are the following programmes required for Netbackup to work?

I want to delete it from the server

Microsoft SQL Server

12.x and Earlier
windows server 2012

    You have Microsoft SQL Server and NetBackup Master Server on the same system, and you want to uninstall Microsoft SQL Server ?

    Yes, you can. Microsoft SQL Server is not part of the backup software.

      They installed it before me and there are many vulnerabilities due to this programme. I want to delete it but I wanted to ask if it fulfils a function for netbackup.
