NetBackup Virtual Appliance

latest netbackup virtual appliance is 5.1.1 and latest netbackup appliance is 5.3
any news for virtual appliance?
can I install netbackup appliance on vmware?
I tried netbackup virtual appliance and wen I tried upgrade online it was unsuccessful
