The following are the reasons why, in every score report I must fill out, I give NetBackup a score of less than 5 out of 10:
- The absence of any kind of editing in protection plans.
- The absence of mass deletion of assets from a protection plan.
- The forcing of using one backup and one copy in protection plans, rather than multiple steps as in normal SLPs.
- The viewing of assets as UUIDs in any NetBackup report instead of VM names/display names, even in FETB capacity reports.
It is very annoying, and it's frustrating, I can't use other words without getting banned, to have to delete the whole protection plan if I need to change the starting time of a backup.

1- Netbackup webui does not have an option to modify the schedule of existing Protection Plan
it is same from the start.now Imagine you have registered 100 VMs, and you have to go and delete them one by one (unless you add them via TAG.
I think they will either remove the concept or they will enhance it in future.2- At Netbackup Java Console when we take VM based backup, we have an option to select VM display name or IP address. Selection of IP address is a good strategy so in case VM display name changed, we are still able to take backup. But I am not able to see this option in Netbackup web ui
I usually use Vmware Tag name, even though that has its own risk as if the query fails , the backup will not run at all.with tag you will have more control on VMs backup.
