NetBackup Windows Compatibility

Hi All - long time since I popped onto here!

I have a customer who needs to upgrade their hardware to Windows 2025 from Windows 2016.

They are currently running NetBackup 10.5.0.1 Primary and Media Server, all on Windows 2016.

SORT and the compatibility lists all just say 11 is the minimum version for every OS which I know is not the case so I just need to be sure that I can happily upgrade the Windows 2016 servers to NetBackup 11 before upgrading their OS to 2025 as I believe they have to be at NBU 11 to go to Windows 2025.

If there are any "Got-YAs" with NBU 11 it would be good to know too as we don't want anything to stop working after the upgrade.

    You are correct, Mark.
    NetBackup 10.5.0.1 supports Windows Server 2025 only as client.
    Therefore, if you plan to upgrade the Windows Master or Media servers to 2025, NetBackup must be upgraded beforehand. 

    I have upgraded some small installations to 11.0.0.1 without any issues so far; however, as noted, these are small-scale installations.
    The only issue observed is that NetBackup is unable to send catalog emails. My servers are on Linux servers.
    An EEB exists for version 11.0, but none has been released yet for 11.0.0.1.
