Netbackupcatalog
If we create the NetBackup catalog after backup policies that have been running two months before , will the backup catalogue take all the information which happened even before? or it will start the backup from the day the NetBackup catalog was created Marianne
The catalog backup will contain information about all backups that have not yet expired. When you create a backup in NetBackup you assign a retention - once the retention time has expired, the backup information will be deleted from the NetBackup catalog and for disk based backups will be deleted from storage (at least it will try to). If the backups you mention have a retention of less than 2 months, then a catalog backup now will not contain any information about them.
