    • Master server to/from media servers requires the TCP ports for vnetd/13724 and PBX/1556, bi-directional.
    • Master server to client requires the TCP port for vnetd/13724.

  • For NBU 7.6.0.1, scroll down to 7.0.1 section in TECH136090.

You will see all server and client comms are now using PBX (port 1556).

For 7.5 and later, The Resilient Client feature requires vnetd (13724) to be open bi-directional between media server and client.

  • As from NBU 6.0, there is no longer need for bpcd port.

All port requirements are documented in TECH136090.

NetBackup Network Port Admin Guide . This is added in NBU 7.6 documentation (Check your setup binaries it should be there)
