Onprem Netbackup to AWS S3 Connection Err

Hello World..!

Wanted to configure Onprem Nodes with local catalog backup  and other Storage in AWS via direct connect to write directly into cloud S3.

I tried Cloud connector to setup storage server by selecting AWS S3 resource and region and I put access key of a user who has S3 management access. But getting Authentication failure.

-The master which is hosted onprem
-AWS connected via direct connect.
-Key is active in IAM.
-and port 443 is already opened between.

Any help on this?

  • Hi Tux5

As a first step, I'd be checking access to S3 from the media server. Try using one of the S3 explorer tools from the media server host using the credentials etc. and verify that you can access the storage.

When configuring the connector, you may need to disable CRL checking as this typically uses port 80 to download the list and if this is not open it can cause problems (or open up port 80 to AWS).

    Cheers
