opscenter data retention

Hello!

I have one master server, 10 media servers and aout 200 clients. I need to store job detail status for year. How long can opscenter store data? Can I manage retention period in opscenter?

  • By OpsCenter Administrator's Guide, "Configuring data purge settings You can configure the OpsCenterServer retention periods for the data types that are logged, such as Job, Policy, and Skipped Files." I'm not sure how log it is able keep data. 1 year is not so long, and ops can keep more data, I guess.

  • I think "opscenter" free version is restircited only for 60 days . If you required to view data Older than 2 months then you should have a license .

You may need to purchase license for 'OpsCentre Analytics' .

  • Yes, thank you. I know about this restriction. We will purchase the license, but not right now. Now I need just to start job status collection. I think this data wouldn't be lost, if we will get the license at the next year.

  • they said out of the box you can keep as long as you want, you can only report in 60 day interval's.

If you want a report that goes for 12 months you will need a licenses for the master/media/clients

  • Ahh gud. Thts mean even if we have a 4 months data then we cant scare about deleting the data after 60 days right ? the 60 days restriction is we cant report the data report which can span more thn 60 days :)
