PBX

In NBU,What are PBX based processes?Are they unified processes?

example of such processes?

    Hi, PBX based process means all client socket communication happens to take place while connecting through a single port. For example, stopping PBX while there are active or queued NetBackup jobs will cause backups to fail with a Status 12 (file open failed), a Status 25 (cannot connect on socket), or a Status 50 (client process aborted), as well as other possible errors.

    PBX is private branch exchange.It helps to limit the number of TCP/IP ports that NetBackup uses. It also allows all socket communication to take place while connecting through a single port. The PBX port number is 1556. PBX is a part of installation process during master server build.

    when you run the bpps -x you can see that as below., did you try running the command bpps -x  and see whats all listing there?

    I was reading PBX documents and it was documented that PBX allows all PBX based processes to receive comm on a single port.

     

    What is all PBX based processes here?
