Currently we are running Netbackup 7.5.0.4. We have few policy that we backup on tape. Is there way to mark a certian policy in high priority that when it kicks of it starts as soon as tape drive is available instead of waiting in queue.
just look into the policy Attributes tab..
you will have the Job Priority Option there... , (higher number is greater Priority)
just set that..

and for job already queued, you can select it, then click Actions > Change Job Priority
Bydefault priority of any backup policy is 0 (minimum)
The maximum value you can set is 99999 (maximum)
You can set values between 0 to 99999 to priortie your backups :)
