Based on this https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/doc/NB_70_80_VE we can tell that NBU does not support proxmox.
I trust that proxmox is having some native tools to do its own backups which can be stored anywhere for instance on NBU Universal Share - if you have MSDP disk pool.

IMHO that is the only thing you can do for now - until proxmox will be fully supported by NBU.
davidmoline are there any plans to support proxmox? I think it is more and more in use on the market...

Proxmox has its own backup server but I already have a Netbackup server for my VMware environment and with the recent VMware news I'm thinking of migrating to proxmox.
I can't really give up Netbackup because it's used for so many things and it handles my tape backups. That's why I'd like to know if there's a solution for using netbackup with proxmox.

yes , netbackup now must support proxmox ...!
