Purge data after sucessfully backup

Hi,

I have a few folders in different drive that will some acronis image on a daily basis.

I would like to purge this data away when backup is sucessfully, how do I do it from the backup policy on netbackup 7.0 on a windows platform.

  • This can be done with User Archive. Add this schedule to an existing policy for the client. Add a backup window during which manual archiving will be allowed. Whatever file/folder list exist in the Backup Selection tab is ignored for the User Archive Schedule.
Log onto the client during the open window, open BAR window and select files to be archived.

This is the only way - it cannot be automated.

  • Although not the standard, some customers find a need to automate or otherwise schedule a User Archive type of backup job.

This article describes how to accomplish this on a Windows machine, however, for a UNIX system, the same process would be used except to use a shell script and cron job rather than a batch file and an "at" job.
