2. is there a way to share "Details tab" log of backup job completed via mail alerts like we create mail alerts for backup.
.
It is possible with NetBackup Server v7.6.1.2 on Windows 2012 R2 - i.e. the version I have tested on. And, the script that I have should also work for NetBackup Server v7.6.x.x on Windows 2008 (and R2) too.
Here's an example of output / captured details from a modified version of 'backup_exit_notify.cmd', which is able to retrieve the details from bpdbjobs, which is quite similar to the detail found in the activity monitor, i.e. it is possible to extract both the 'selection list' (what was intended to be backed-up), and the job activity details. Once these have been collected, then it should be straightforward to 'blat' (email) the details as you see fit.
Example output from a 'backup_exit_notify' script:

Apologies, I know this doesn't help you with your versions. And, apologies for piggy backing on your forum thread. I just wanted to show that such things are possible with the later versions of NetBackup. It would be a shame for users/customers to think that it's not at all possible in any version of NetBackup.
So, if anyone out there has the same question but for a later version of NetBackup... then let me know... and I'll try to test the script a bit more, and if it gets fairly close to being fit (enough) for general consumption, then I'll post a 'download' with a copy of the 'backup_exit_notify' that I used to test this with, and also the script which is able to pull the structured text from a bpdbjobs -all_columns extract file.
