Question regarding Netbackup Vaulting

Hey guys ,

I have a query regarding Netbackup Vaulting option which is used for duplicating images off-site. I have netbackup running in my production site and i want to install netbackup in the DR site which is connected with a fiber link. Can i install a seperate Netbackup instance in the DR site i.e. install another Netbackup master server in the DR site and then configure vaulting between the two master servers, or do i have to install just a media server in the DR site pointing to the Master server in the production site i.e. it will be in the same Netbackup domain as the Production site.?

    Another Master Server means another NBU domain.

    If you want do vaulting between two sites, you need media server at DR site.

    Thanks for the reply , so it means that for netbackup vaulting to work both the sites have to be in a single NBU domain, right?

    They should use the same catalog for image tracking.
