Quires about Netbackup VMware Backup

 

NBU Version:- 7.6.0.1

OS: Solaris 10

 

Currently we have configured a VMware backup using the automatic selection in the policy and the selection is based on the datastore name.

Here My question is

1. how to exclude a particular VM server backup when we configured a datastore level backup.

2. Does Netbackup accelator will work with basic disk for VMware backup

    Hello,

    actually there is no "datastore level" backup. The Query can ask for datastore level, but then it will be broken down into individual VM backups as usual. And of course you can exlude VMs from the query result.

    1. There should be an option in automatic selection to select all except specific hostname. Please check the NBU for Vmware manual for selection criteria. 2. No. Accelerator is supported with dedupe only.
