Recovering Exchange 2012 Database

Our large Exchange 2010 DAG environment is configured to perform Weekly Full and daily incremental differential backups. I am trying to restore a DB using last Full backup and two increnemtals. NBU document says I can select a Full and incrementals in one job and recover DB. However the job fails with too many DBs selected to restore. I am able to restore a Full without selecting Commint after restore and then restore each incremental backups and select Commit while restoring last incremental. This works just fine but takes too long.

  • This is Exchange 2010 DAG being backed up using VSS Snapshots in NBU 7.1.0.1

  • The restore should work ok with Full and differential selected at the same time. Check your restore selection.

  • I just tried and here is what I get in Detailed Status. I have only one DB in Test environment, performed a full backup then three Incremental Differencials. When I go to restore them I am selecting Full and three incrementals in one Job.
