Reducing partials

Even after configuring open file backup for the client , i am getting the backup ends with partial code 1,please find below the logs and skipped files,how to resolve it

  • You need to troubleshoot all of them separately...

    It should be fine to exclude all edb.log and edbtmp.log files - speak to sysadmin to confirm.

    Most of the SCC errors have been seen on this forum and have associated TN's. Some of the errors are solved by VSS updates and/or MS hotfixes, some by NBU patches/updates.
    You can search this forum for error messages or else Google (start search with site:symantec.com )

    It should be fine to exclude all edb.log and edbtmp.log files - speak to sysadmin to confirm.

  • Totally agree with Marianne - Nearly all of those listed are System State related and based on the edb file it looks like this is an exchange server

    2003 has lots of VSS issues for which MS has rollup packages - NBU has several fixes so make sure you are up to date allround - if it is a domain controller used a full domain admin account for the NBU Client service

    Without more details (NBU versions, O/S versions etc.) it is hard to help further
