Restore a VM to new DR ESXi outside vCenter

Hi Folks,

What are the pre-requisites needed to recover a VM to new ESXi which is not part of your vCenter.

    Hi

    Just add an ESXi to NBU and do it to ESXi only ... there is no need to 'talk' vSphere server...

    Ensure the standalone ESX server is not managed by another vcenter , it needs to be truly standalone else the restore will fail.

    NetBackup Pre-requisites for VMware Recovery to a standalone ESXi.

    1. Firewall ports 902 (Master & Media Appliance), 111, 7394 (Media Appliance)
    2. Account to ESXi with Backup & Restore Privileges.
    3. Compatibility, NBU 9.1 supports up to vSphere version 6.5U3.
    4. VM Kernel port, if intend to use Backup LAN for recovery.
    5. Post Recovery VMware team need to Register VM’s and Power ON.
