Restore failed

Hi,

My restoration test is failed with below error, please help

    We see bpcd connection from media2 to itself failing?!

    Which OS on media2? 

    Have you checked SERVER entries on media2?

    Please - we need a full set of logs for the same restore attempt - at least bprd on the master and bpbrm on the media server.

    Hi Iaw,

    Unfortunately status code 2850 is very generic. What kind of restore are you doing? for example, Windows file system restore, Exchange database restore etc.

    The restore appears to fail very quickly. If you launch it from a Windows 2008 box, make sure you launch the Backup, Archive & Restore GUI using "Run As Administrator". 

    You can also check the bprd log in master server (and look for PID 31189).

    You need to give us more info...

    Is this a filesystem or database restore?

    To same or different client?

    Please show us all text in the Results tab of the BAR GUI.

    Ensure the following log folders exist for troubleshooting:

    On master: bprd (NBU needs to be restarted after folder is created).

    On media server: bpbrm and bptm

    On client: bpcd and tar

    Hi,
    Its file system restore to the same client (original destination)
    Master/media and Client use linux OS.
    Currently, I only have bprd log attached.
    Hope it helps in troubleshooting the issue.

    Seems you were trying to restore to the master server?

    START RESTORE -k 1 -c app2b -hostname app2b -rclnt master1 -rclnthostname master1....

    bprd log does not contain any info that corresponds with the times seen in Activity monitor.

    We need a full set of logs that covers the time that files were browsed and where restore job is initiated.

    Please ensure that all of the log folders exist (see my previous post) before you start another restore.

    Please also post all text in the progress log of the BAR GUI.

    media2 is linux OS.
    Should I also need to add the client hostname in SERVER entries on media2?
    I will do test, and give the updated log if still failed.

    Hi, Still I get the same error :( , PFA the bprd and bpbrm logs.

    Also, how to make timestamp in the log?

    Post up the bpbrm and bptm logs from the media server too.

    Let's also see full output of the Detailed Status from the restore job.
