Restore from imported images works on local but fails on re-directed mode.

We have imported one of tape from DR to PR site.

We have NBU 7.0.1 on Win2k3R2 Ent installed.

We are able to restore data on Master server but when we try to restore data on another server it fails with error 5 or 25.

 

We want to restore data on another server as there we have sufficient space to restore.

 

Any suggestions would be anticipated.

    actually host entry for source client which was de-commisioned was missing.. after doing that.. restore worked.

    Status 25 says that there's a connectivity problem between the master and the destination client.

    Ensure that forward and reverse lookup works if DNS is used or add hosts entries.

    Please do the following test:

    Create bpcd log dir on the destination client.

    On master, run 'bptestbpcd -client <client-name> -verbose'

    Please post output of above command as well as client's bpcd log.

    Status 5 is a generic error and you need to check Activity Monitor Details tab as well as restore log to find the cause.

    To troubleshoot restores on master server side, you need bprd log. Restart NBU after this log is created.
