Restore must be resumed prior to first image expiration

Hi,

I have this messages:

2/22/2014 10:25:21 - begin Restore
12/22/2014 10:25:21 - number of images required: 1
12/22/2014 10:25:21 - media needed: HQ0595
12/22/2014 10:42:25 - Warning bprd (pid=391) Restore must be resumed prior to first image expiration on Sun Jan 11 09:24:07 2015
12/22/2014 10:42:25 - end Restore; elapsed time 0:17:04
the restore failed to recover the requested files (5)

I have checked the same case articles about this, but I still dont get the solution.

Please help anybody, what seems to be the problem here?

Thanks & Regards,

  • Hi All,

    I have found the solution here

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH32332

    It happened that the /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/tar binary if this client was missing, so I copied the tar file from another working client. Now it can restore again. Thank you very much

  • Hi,

    I've tried to kill the "bprd -dontfork -mpxmain" process and resume the restore, but still no response. It seems stuck or something.

    I have rebooted the mediaserver (master=media=client) too, and performed the restore, but it still the same.

    Here the bp.conf fyi:

    root@backupprd # cat /usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf
    SERVER = backupprd
    CLIENT_NAME = backupprd
    EMMSERVER = backupprd

    So, what do you think the issue here? Thanks

      I am having an issue trying to restore despite a future expiration date:

      bprd Restore must be resumed prior to first image expiration on Mon 18 Jan 2038 10:14:06 PM EST

      I am getting error 2808 as well.  Any thoughts on how to diag and correct?  The articlein the link is dead as it references symantec.
