Restore of Netbackup 7.5 catalog Backup on Netbackup 7.6
Hi Everyone,
I have a query regarding catalog restoration.Is it possible to restore 7.5 catalog Backup on Netbackup 7.6 server ? Recently we have migrated to netbackup 7.6 & we want to restore 7.5 catalog backup onto the server which has netbackup 7.6. If we can restore can you please let me know what are the impacts of that?

Simply not possible. Catalog can only be restored to exact same version and patch level. The way to migrate to new hardware is to install same NBU version, recover catalog, then upgrade.
