SAP automatic scheduled backup

Dear Team,

We followed the sap administration guide for configuring the sap oracle backup (without RMAN). we able to start the backup from client side through brbackup command, but not able to start the backup from netbackup side. when i start the full backup manually, it took only the script file not triggered the database backup. please help us to take the backup.

Thanks in advance
Balaji

  • So you need to figure why its trying to find the file it complains about. Its not looking like a pure netbackup issue as the file it complains about isnt a Netbackup file so its more lilely a SAP file, so you might be better off talking to your SAP people. Have you debugged the whole of the script to see where that file originates?

  • Script? Error? You also require an appropriate account with priviledges. So we need much more detail please.

BR0252E Function fopen() failed for 'D:\oracle\PPP\sapbackup\.user.pas' at location global_set-1
BR0253E errno 2: No such file or directory

    BR0056I End of database backup: bepkswif.log 2014-12-17 08.25.57
    BR0280I BRBACKUP time stamp: 2014-12-17 08.25.59
    BR0054I BRBACKUP terminated with errors
Execution of BRBACKUP command failed - exiting

this is windows machine, i updated the latest kernel, dba tools and checked user privilages also.
