SAP backup using agent change the master server

We have SAP server (HP-UX, Oracle12) backup using SAP Agent. Recently we have a new master server NBU (NB v8.0). After the new master run, we wanted to move to the SAP backup to the new master.

I change the master name on the SAP backup policy, but everytime I triger the backup, the backup still run on the ol master server. I believe I still need to change some configuration on the client site, righ? Which file? (BTW I have not the netbackup agent/client version yet)

    You need to change the first SERVER entry in /usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf on the client to the name of the new master.

      Thank you Marianne,

       

      Yes after I clear the older master server it is working fine. I also change the bp.conf on the home directory of oracle account.

    You can also change the Master server by viewing the Client Properties.

      Master Server could be also saved in initSID.utl file on the client side.

      Go through NetBackup SAP Admin Guide.
