SLP's stopped processing
My turn to ask for advice ...
NBU 7 on Solaris 10 master
Our customer has implemented SLP's which have been working fine.
We are now in the process of adding more media servers and gradually increasing LCP's (as per the Best Practice Guide). While waiting for new SLP duplications to kick in, I noticed that there were NO active duplications - not even the ones that worked well up to now.
nbstlutil stlilist -image_incomplete -U
shows output like this:
Image <client>_1291289293 for Lifecycle GOLD_...... is NOT_STARTED
2566 jobs in total!
I can find commands to suspend and/or cancel and activate specific SLP's again - but how do we 'kickstart' SLP's as a whole again?
We have already restarted NBU on the master, checked nbrb allocations, etc...
There are more than enough physical resources available.
There are two backups currently running. The Activity Monitor is normally filled with active duplication jobs this time of day.
PLEASE HELP!
Ok, this has been a very one-sided discussion....
Problem solved:
We also found that the nblog.conf was corrupt, but did not have root access to fix it.
nbstserv could be started once nblog.conf was fixed. Duplications imeediately started kicking in.
