system error occurred(130)

We have installed Netbackup agent 7.6.0.4 in the Linux Suse server and while configuring Netnbackup we are getting the below error.

OS version:

Master server: Windows 2008 R2

Client server: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (x86_64)

 

Please advice..!!

  • Talk about the issue to the unix admin. He/she should be able to help you with the issue.

    Problem is not Netbackup related, its the OS that fails.

  • Can you post up the client bpbkar log and the media server bpbrm log?

     

  • Status 11 is a segmentation fault according to http://www.veritas.com/docs/000026184

    You need to investigate why the OS does a segmentation fault - it like a Doctor Watson on Windows.

    Take a  look at /var/log/messages as it may reveal the cause to the core dump.

    Ensure the OS has been patched to a somewhat recently version.

  • What exactly are you trying to backup on the client?

    Have you verified FileSystem Compatibility in NBU OS SCL?

    Please create bpbkar log folder on the client and upload log after the next failure (please copy the log to bpbkar.txt before uploading as File attachment).

  • I have enabled bpbkar and bpbrm logs now. Will provide the logs ASAP

  • We are not using VxFS.

    In /var/log/messages we found nothing important. only below lines were keep on repeating.

  • The entries in messages file do not seem to be related to the backup failure.

    Replies to these queries would also be 'nice':

    What exactly are you trying to backup on the client? (Backup Selection)
    Which File system types on Backup Selection items?
