The system cannot find the path specified

Hello All!

I have the following problem:

In a normal file-backup sometimes (1-2x per week) I get the message:

"Can’t open c:\Users\sysu_ftpupload\NTUSER.DAT, Can’t open c:\Users\sysu_tfpupload\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\UsrClass.dat. The system cannot find the path specified".

When the error occurs, than only for these two files. All other files in this SYSTEM-folder (and sub-folders) are backuped normal.

I can find no correlation between a special weekday or only at FULL or INCREMENTALS.

Has anyone an idea, why I get this error?

My environment:

NetBackup 7.1

Master Server: Windows 2088 R2 Server

Media Server: Windows 2088 R2 Server

Backup-Client: Windows 2088 R2 Server

Thanks for your solutions,

Georg

Sounds to me that when the worklist is created, the files are included. But when coming to backing up the files they have changed in status condition or accessibility.

Do the locations belong to FTP accounts that are logging in and out regularly, very frequently? On a minute by minute basis.?

  • probably you can enable open file backup and check.....and also increase client time out .

  • @pikachu: yes, only on this account

@stuart green: I agree with you - sounds the same or me. I must check, how this account is used.

@Paramesh: I tested it with and without Open file Backup - no differences. I increased client time out an will see - because the error comes intermittent, I will monitor it the next days.

    Lets see :-)

  • Do you really need these files in the event of a restore?  If not, then add them to the Windows Client, Exclude Lists.

  • I actually looked deeper into that file and I kept on ending up on the microsoft homepage and forums.

I increased the client read and the file browse timeouts and din't have any erros since that.
