Total size of data backed up

Hi,

Netbackup 7.0

Windows 2008 enterprise 64bit

I use capacity based license for netbackup 7.0, is there any way i can view the total size of data that has been backed up, so i would be able to know when to upgrade my license.

I have about 50 servers that are being backed up everyday and weekly to a VTL and HP Tape Library.

Or using the client backups report & exporting it to a spreadsheet:

  • To add to Andy's suggestion:

In a Windows environment, Client Backup report is probably easiest.

Run it for a period that should cover a set of Full backups for all Clients. Because all backups don't always complete 100% successful, run the report 3 - 4 times for each of the last 3 - 4 weekends (assuming that your Fulls run over a weekend). Save the output as text file. Import each of these reports in Excel and add up total KB backed up.

If you do this for the last couple of Full backup cycles, you should be able to get an average.
