unable to restore vmware virtual machine

The Client name that you have performed backups for is NBU-CLIENT. 

I don't see any other client names in your screenshots.
 

Make sure that win2k8-38 is the name that is reflected in the catalog, it might be the hostname, or it might be the FQDN, or vice versa. You can aslo check what the exact server name was in your job report.

Can you browse the catalog and see images for win2k8-38?

Double-check your VMware policies.

Check that a successful backup runs for win2k8-38.

So far, it seems you only have successful backups for NBU-CLIENT.

I have mentioned VM i.e win2k8-38 details into vmpolicy.

 In activity monitoring there are 3 backup's logs i.e two for NBU-Client and other one is normal client.

Can you please tell me that VM backup is sucess or not?If yes,what is the next step?

1. Should i take preexisitng VM snapshot?

2.Is there any option to take datastore backup?

3.Should i use same policy for multiple VM's to take backup or else create multiple policies for each VM?

So, what did you do to make the restore work? 
Restored NBU-CLIENT?

Is there a relationship between win2k8-38. and NBU-CLIENT?
Different names for the same VM?

How are you choosing VMs to be backed up? 
Manually or automatically via query-based selection?
If automatic, what is your selection criteria?

Are you using Disply names or VM hostnames?
Or some other hostname selection? 

To answer your questions: 

1. Should i take preexisitng VM snapshot?

No. As previously explained - NBU will instruct ESXi server to take snapshot when backup starts.

2.Is there any option to take datastore backup?

No. NBU backs up VMware hosts at vmdk-level.

3.Should i use same policy for multiple VM's to take backup or else create multiple policies for each VM?

You can use one policy for multiple VMs - especially if you use automatic query-based selection (VIP).
