unix - browse restore points

Hi All,

A simple one if someone knows, but i cant seem to find what im looking for.

In a previoius organisation I remember using a menue driven CLI on unix/linux machines to manage backup and restore functions for that machine? Can anyone remind me what this tool is called, i cant seem to get any info on it.

Thanks,
  Alex

  • Hi there,

I believe you are looking for bpadm (/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpadm). As far as I know, NBU 7.6.1 was the last version to contain bpadm.

I would suggest starting using bpbackup and bprestore commands.

  • LOL! I see that I have typed this up but never posted...

It was bpadm on a server and bp on a client.

These commands were removed in a recent version. 7.7.x I think.

There are secure ways these days to use the Java Console.
