Using update_clients to push upgrades from Linux Master server (RedHat 7.6 / NBU 8.1.1)) to Linux clients (Oracle Linux Server 7.8 NBU 7.7.2) I get the message " Couldn't read from file /usr/openv/netbackup/version " I always thought that the version file was in /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/version. ???
the version file error is a 'red herring'. If you look at the log file that was created for update_clients, you will get more useful info, e.g perhaps something like:
Detected an attempt to install incorrect platform and/or operating system and version client binaries....
