upgrade from netbackup 10.1.1 to 10.5.0.1, cant build new deployment policy

I just upgraded my server to 10.5.0.1 from 10.1.1. I downloaded and installed Linux clients to the master server. When I go to make a deployment policy so that I can push client software down to client hosts, the only versions that show as available are 8.2 and 10.1.1, how do I get 10.5.0.1 into that list?

  • My answer was in the nbrepo command, not enough to just install the clients.

  • Also, when I use the install_client_files to push over ssh from the master, it also installs 10.1.1

    I need to upgrade clients

      Hi chriswilkes33

With 10.5.0.1, the client files are not installed (or included) as part of the upgrade, so the files from the version you upgraded from remain (as you discovered). If you want to use the install_client_files, you will need to add the client bundles from the NetBackup_10.5.0.1_CLIENTS2.tar.gz (for Linux - or CLIENTS1 for other Unix flavours).
Glad you figured the requirement to add the vxupdate bundles for the new version.

      Cheers
