Upgrade Issue Solaris "Database server not found"

Anyone seen this error when trying to upgrade from NBU 6 to 6.5 on Solaris 9:

Ping server failed -- Database server not found.

I'm trying to find the file where the database server is defined. Installation script is showing:

The database server is NB_cottoncandy

...which is the master server name with "NB_" attached to the front. Guessing I need to find the file and remove the NB_ from the front for this to be successful. Any ideas?
