Upgrade Master Server from 7.6.0.2 to 7.7.3 - Java Console giving error

Hello Friends,

We are doing testing to upgrade from NetBackup 7.6.0.2 to 7.7.3. After upgrade, when we tried to login to Java console, getting following error:

The Netbackup admin Console failed to establish a securre connection with the host <sERVER NAME>.
The request was terminated with error code VRTS-28678.

We have already installed NetBackup Java 7.7.3 after uninstalling old version.

Please share the details if anyone already faced such issue and resolved it.

    NBU 7.7.3 will default to establish a secure connection beteen master server and GUI. Somehow this fails compared to 7.6.0.2 unsecure connection.

    Some basic checks:

    Check name resoloution (forward and reverse)

    Check there is connectivity on network port 1556/tcp

    If host with Java gui installed is also a client, you may need to deploy a certificate manually - see http://www.veritas.com/docs/000100635
