VM efi boot with linux bmr.iso not possible

Hello

I try to restore a physical linux server to a VM using BMR. The original physical server has efi boot enabled. When I change from bios boot to efi boot in the VM it is not possible to boot with the bmr iso image.

OS: SLES 12

VM: ESXi 6.5

    1. Change the BIOS mode to Legacy
    2. Boot the BMR media, restore the O.S.
    3. Switch back to BIOS UEFI
    4. Boot the restored O.S.

      Hello,

      I already tried that. Bmr finished but the vm was not bootable. Is there anything else i have to do?

        You had no problems booting the BMR media and restoring the OS?
        What message does the virtual console shows you?
        What options are offered for boot modes in the vm BIOS?
