VMDK Backups

Hi

Please assist we running VMDK backups on 200+ server, one of the server snapshot not deleted after backup completed and casued VM offline.

what are reasons for not deleting snapshot after backup taken

i did confirmed below

* Datastore space is morethan 10 %
*VM tools up to date

    So, for 200+ VMs all is working fine, but for 1 it is not?

    If we take into consideration that when the backup starts, Netbackup calls vCenter to create a snapshot, and then after backup completes, Netbackup again calls vCenter to remove snapshot, it makes sense that troubleshooting should be done at VMware level, right?

    A quick Google search found VMware forum posts and 2 NetBackup TNs that point to issues with vCenter 5.0 and 5.1.
