vmoprcmd -h <media-server-name> -timeout 3600 -autoconfig  -a

 

What this will do?

    Final result???? All well & good but this is not what your original post was about!!!

     

    vmoprcmd -h <media-server-name> -timeout 3600 -autoconfig  -a

     

    What this will do?

     

    Where here is the query about stopping & starting media manager service?
    Where here is the reference to the commands 'scan' & 'tpautoconf'?

    Your question was about what the command "vmoprcmd -h <media-server-name> -timeout 3600 -autoconfig  -a" will do!!!!

    PS: don't need to tell me exactly 'where' this query about scan/tpautoconf was I've seen *that* thread! ;)
