VMware Policy with SQL awareness enabled, and SQL policy for Transaction logs

Hi,

I am just wondering if it is possible to configure a VMware policy with SQL aware enabled, and a SQL policy to pickup transaction logs every 1 hour.

For recovery I am thinking recover databases from a nightly full VMware backup (including SQL databases) and then roll forward to just before a corruption using the transaction logs.

Is this supported?

    No, you can not

    VMware SQL aware backup is a copy only backup and does not involved in the log sequence. You can only truncate logs before snapshot occur.

    If you need to do point in time restores, you have to go with traditional SQL and LOG backups. But still you can use VMware backup for the system
