vmware snpshot backup using VIP

Hi ,

With using VIP backup policy, is there a way for me to run a specific VM backup without initiating backup for entire policy. This is assuming there's no backup history for this specific VM.

Will greatly appreciate your feedback.

    My suggestion is to create a separate policy. Add same schedules as VIP with no open windows. Add/remove Client names as needed for manual backups.

      A new policy is one option. We change the selection with additional criteria to get the needed VM(s) only, start backup, changed back.

      Thank you Marianne. That's seem logical way to go about it. Am hoping veritas come up with an option to eliminate this double work though :)
