in the middle of doing hardware refresh to support 8.1.2 version i found several directories 65GB in size (for a total of 12TB) where the directory name is "data".
looking at each directory, i found several 8 digit files that ends in .bin and .bhd dating back to 2017.
what are this files? can i safely delete them? they are located in my PureDisk partition.

don't delete these files directly, leave it on NetBackup/PureDisk. They are probably related to some unexpired backups (no matter how they are old).

yes we do have backups with expiry of one year or more.
