Why BMR Boot server or SRT is OS specific, Anyone got some Explanation on that?

BMR Boot server or SRT is OS specific but what's the real reason can anybody explain in detail?

    Hi

    Well boot server creates boot media - I can't imagine to boot HPUX using Solaris boot media or AIX or Linux - can you?

    I do hope this explains that...

      And why SRT is OS specific because we boot the machine with it right?

        Yes indeed.

        For windows OS - one version of windows will cover all others windows. In UNIX/Linux word matching is 1:1...
