You have a client called 'dns'?
Where does this client name exist in NBU config?
Please bear in mind that Policy Database (containing clients) and the Client Attributes database are 2 separate databases.
You first need to add Client names to Clients Attributes database.
So, if you have not yet added client name 'dns' to Host Properties -> Clients Attributes or via cmd:
bpclient -client dns -add
you need to do this before adding an alias.
