Does NSS supports NDMP backups/restores?

Greetings!

I would like to know if NSS supports NDMP backups/restores?

Will it be possible to register the ndmp host in nss, do the backups on the NBU itself and make restores from the NSS?

    Hi Alexander

    You can check which Policy types are supported in the 'NetBackup Self Service Configuration guide - Appendix A)

    For NDMP, Protection is supported (Defined in policy template and applies to all clients in the policy), restores are not supported, you would register the machine in NSS in the normal way.

    We would love to be able to offer NDMP restore, but in our experience, people use NDMP in different ways so it is difficult to offer an out of the box solution. However, there maybe room for a bespoke solution that addresses the customer’s needs based on their operational procedures.
