How do I setup NSS with AD user import and authentication

I want to connect NSS to my AD and have users automatically authenticated into the NSS portal

  • See the attached document which details how to set up Active Directory (AD) import and authentication for NetBackup Self Service (NSS).

    There are 2 main activities:

    1. Create Active Directory user import tasks
    2. Enable Single Sign on via Windows Authentication

thank you JonHunt I follow the procedure and was successful.

In the step to modify the IIS, it does not appear by default the Windows Authentication in my installation, I found this instruction:

Windows Authentication missing in the list

If your IIS installation does not contain Windows Authentication by default, you need to install it:

      1. Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn windows features on or off.
      2. Expand Internet Information Services -> World Wide Web Services.
      3. Under Security, select the Windows Authentication check box.
      4. Click OK to finish the configuration.

Windows Authentication appears as an option in IIS website authentication settings.
